I am from humble beginnings and could remember the long waiting periods and lines at PMH, and my family could not afford private doctors, and had no medical insurance. The majority of Bahamians are reliant on public health to include our families as the cost of private medical is not affordable. Public health suffers from lack of funding and resources and our nation is in pain. I choose this charity as it means a hope of wellness and healthy people to make a much better home in this little beloved country.
