Friends of PHA Bahamas
Vision
We envision a future where every person in The Bahamas, whether citizen, resident, or visitor, has access to a world-class healthcare system that is robust, resilient, and sustainable. By leveraging the collective efforts of Bahamians living abroad, within the Bahamas Diaspora, and supporters globally, FoPHAB strives to build a healthcare system characterized by excellence in care delivery, innovation, and equity. Our vision is to transform The Bahamas' healthcare landscape by ensuring that all facilities under the Public Hospitals Authority are well-equipped, adequately staffed, and effectively managed, fostering an environment where health outcomes are optimized, and the dignity and well-being of every patient are prioritized.

Dr Philippa Davis Belton
Chairperson of the Board
I decided to join the FHAB project because I was inspired not only but the initiative and mission as such but also by the extraordinary people that are part of this journey.
The Bahamas is a fantastic country with tremendous people and I am grateful by the way how I have been accepted in the community.
I am honored to give back to Bahamian people what they deserve and therefore I am extremely committed in making this project a successful reality.
It is better in The Bahamas

Francesco Vanacore

I am passionate about my dedication to the FHAB in its mission to support the Bahamas pubic health care systems. I am from humble beginnings and could remember the long waiting periods and lines at PMH, and my family could not afford private doctors, and had no medical insurance. The majority of Bahamians are reliant on public health to include our families as the cost of private medical is not affordable. Public health suffers from lack of funding and resources and our nation is in pain. I choose this charity as it means a hope of wellness and healthy people to make a much better home in this little beloved country.
